This Holiday season will most likely look different for a lot of families. Whether you will be enjoying a zoom family get together, traveling to close friends or relatives, or making new memories in your home, we want to wish you a safe and happy Holiday.
Here are some virtual ways you can still enjoy time with your friends and family over the Holiday’s. You might even turn some of these Holiday alternatives into fun traditions.
Plan a gift exchange. Whether you want to have someone designated to drawing names from a hat, or use a number generator, there are still multiple ways to host a gift exchange this year. With a virtual twist of course. Try planning ahead leading up to the Holiday’s to make sure everyone gets a gift in time. Add some fun clues in each package to leave them guessing on who the gift is from. Create a virtual event to host the exchange, and don’t forget to bring your favorite snacks!
Keep the family game night going. Things might feel a little different over FaceTime/Zoom, but you can still keep the tradition of family game night going! Make sure everyone is on board with the selected game, and get cozy you might be playing for a while.
Cook your favorite meals together. Everyone has that one favorite dish they enjoy each Holiday meal, so why not make it at your own home? Invite your friends and family to join you on a FaceTime/Zoom call while you prepare your favorite Holiday meals together. It will feel like your home is full of guests, and you can still connect over your favorite dishes.
Bundle up, make some hot cocoa, and go for a walk. If weather permits why not get out of the house and go for a walk. If you wait until that night the streets just might be lit up from all the Holiday decorations.
